Hey! We finally got the new design up. Sorta. Give us a few minute (i.e. hours) to get all the old images resized and the fine tuning done!

  • you don't have to resize if it will disrupt NWT posts and other things, we can just add width="420" ot existing posts. I found one that wasn't resized and did that.
  • hey andy, thanks for the reply. bumps & i are trying to fine tune all the colors right now. cuz it looks pixel perfect on the comp i have access to right now. hopefully in a few days it wont be so hard to read!
  • looking great guys! is it just me though or is the text in this comment box the exact colour of the comment box background? can't see any of what i'm writing here..
  • ok tyler, i'll play with the colors a bit. a few others have also said the blue on black is no good. i'm goign to add a horizontal rule between posts & comments as well, maybe that will help differentiate too.

    white text is fine for the blog entry. Try changing the color for the comments however so it's easier to tell the difference. And the links are too monotonous. Maybe make your blog roll text a different color and the right most column another color.
  • p.s. travis, the max width pic i can post now is 420px, so you might notice i've resized all the new wave tuesday images.
  • @ tyler, a different color than white? or a different link color? i debated for a long time whether or not to go black bg & white text, but i read up on internet readability studies & they said people actually thought white text on black was slightly easier to read than vice versa.

  • i made the layout from scratch then picked apart k2's goodness & placed it where it needed to be. But in doing so i figured out the basics pretty much. i think i'll post the blank K2 theme one day.

    & alexkings plugs are dope! i'll look into it.

    I think you could use different colors for text though. You know?

    looks good. the k2 theme is sweat... if i only had the patience...

    you should look at the share this plugin from alexking. it's a little cleaner than your social bookmark solution -- oh but i'm not telling you how to run yr shop! HA!

  • too dark? doesnt look to bad on my laptop, but haven't viewed it on a crt monitor. The reason i wanted to redo the because i wanted to use only CSS. The last one i had to use a few tables to make it work.

    This one should load faster & have better functionality all around. Also, since its all css, i intend to make it so you can select which color scheme you prefer. dark, light & hypercolor. haha.

  • thanks. was most definitely inspired by the cleaness of electrik suicide. i'll get all the link backs straight in a minute. gonna have all the blog logos in the side bar instead of links.
