Image borrowed from Shop GenteiThis post lost quite a bit of its relevance, as it was supposed to promote a Scottie B (and Stretch Armstrong) show in L.A. on Saturday called Wild Dogs, but I was having problems updating the site. So, I’m losing the promo and hype and just leaving the very solid Scottie B mix that was to accompany it.
Accepted as the godfather of Baltimore Club, or Bmore sub-genre, DJ Scottie B has a name and legacy that precedes him. With Bmore’s exploding popularity, Scottie B has finally graced L.A. with appearances this month. Below is the set from his first L.A. show, at DJ AM, Steve Aoki, and BPM Magazine’s weekly party called Banana Split.
Big ups to Mike B, who recorded the mix and posted it on his blog (along with his mix and DJ AM’s mix from the same evening). I’m sharing Scottie B’s mix below and it’s super fun and highly recommended:

MP3: Scottie B – Live at Banana Split in Hollywood 05-06-2007 [57:24 / 53MB]
It’s all recorded live, so expect some awkward flips of the transformer where there would otherwise be crowd participation. No tracklist available, but lots of people are putting the puzzle together on the ScratchLive forum, where the setlist is a hot topic.
The best places to get at Scottie B is at his company, Unruly Online or his MySpace.
