Mr. Oizo, and team, have been very busy.
‘Steak’, a feature film by director Quentin Dupieux, which will be released in France on June 20th, seems promising. The score is a collaborative project between Sébastien Tellier, Mr. Oizo & SebastiAn. You can learn more about the film from IMDb and watch the trailer (in French) on YouTube.
Considering that I don’t understand French too well, the score is the main attraction. And I think I’m with Monsieur P that ‘Chivers as a Female’ is the stand out track:

More delicious ‘Steak’:

MP3: Sébastien Tellier, Mr. Oizo & SebastiAn - Ringardos
If you love it, you can download a couple more tracks and see the full tracklisting at Boule a Facettes blog and stream yet even more tracks from the official ‘Steak’ MySpace.
Pre-order the ‘Steak’ soundtrack at Amazon.fr (France). It’s going to be imprinted on Ed Banger Records, so I’m sure people in the US will get their change to grab a copy real soon.
Mr. Oizo is already on a roll. He produced Uffie’s new single, ‘First Love’, which is getting mixed comments from you guys (i.e. our readership), but I don’t think anyone can hate on the production! Remember that Oizo is the dude that produced Uff’s first single ‘Pop the Glock’ and that’s certified club banger electro masterpiece. Of course, y’all can get acquainted or re-acquainted with those two track in our ‘Uffie’ archives (don’t forget to add to the comments if you got an opinion!).
In addition to the soon to be dropped ‘Steak’, Mr. Oizo dropped his newest EP, titled, ‘Patrick 1222 / Transexual’ last week, also on Ed Banger Records. Enjoy the signature sound:
Order the new EP through Arcade Mode in Europe and soon in the US through Turntable Lab.
Catch up with Mr. Oizo on his MySpace or secondary remix only MySpace.
Lastly, go through the older Mr. Oizo stuff on Amazon and make sure your collection is on point, because dude is important and your friends will clown if you don’t have all of these in your stacks.

Oizo is my favorite on Ed Banger, that Justice record is going to get played out in like a month. Uffie is TERRIBLE! Without her beats she would be a wacker version of Northern State (which was trash already). Oizo is more ‘glitch’ than anything, but this Steak score sounds really interesting…
I love Oizo, always have. The extended edit of Patrick122 is bliss. And it pisses me off how everyone hates on Uffie. Saying stuff like “She can’t rap!” is insane and totally misses the point. That’s like expecting Jay-Z quality lyrics from JJ Fad or Avenue D. She’s a crazy, fun brat…nothing more, nothing less.
wow the steak soundtracks sounds amazing. thanks for this post! btw its not Sebastian Tellier but sebastiEn Tellier with a “e”.
@ aktou:
Thanks for pointing out my mistakes. I got it right three times, but still, wrong twice. Dang.
And French director Quentin Dupieux is Mr Oizo…
For yall that don’t know… Mr. Oizo is a director, famous in the 90s for the funky yellow puppet he created for Levis, called Flat Eric. Pretty hilarious commercials actually… He also produced the music for the ads, which released on F Comm. Look em up.
we are not worthy of mr.oizo
hes 2 years infront of everyone else , his last album mustache (half a scissor) is possibly the best album ever made , it just came out too early
go buy it
Mr Oizo was much better when he was on Fcom, although I can understand him leaving them seeing how they barely promoted Moustache/Half A Scissor. I’m a little annoyed he joined Ed Banger records, as now all these hipsters like him who had never even heard of him before (yep sorry guys, stereotypical ‘older fan’ issues here), plus his new EP isn’t great, I still wanna see that film of his though
Actually, Mr. Oizo was not the producer on “Pop The Glock”. That honor goes to her boyfriend, and fellow Ed Banger artist, Feadz. Feadz also produced “Brand New Car” and “In Charge”. Mr. Oizo handled the production on all of Uffie’s other releases as far as I know.
