Chromatics - IV

chromatics Chromatics - IV

Johnny Jewel, Adam Miller and Ruth Radelet collectively known as Chromatics released their fourth full length album this month, appropriately titled ‘IV’. The band has under gone many changes since their inception in 2002, but the current lo-fi electronic manifestation is by far our favorite. Johnny Jewel of Glass Candy never ceases to amaze us with his superb production skills and Ruth’s tender voice wafts beautifully over the score.

This is the third recorded version of ‘Healer’ (that I know of).

The Cd is available direct mail order from the band. Later it will be released on Italians Do It Better. You can purchase past Chromatics albums, including the critically acclaimed Chrome Ratz vs basement Rulz, here Chromatics - IV.

Hmm, I like her vocals better on Healer. Not enough conviction on ‘Hill. Although, I love the strings and production work on the remake.
