Professor Genius is the right hand man to King Morpheus, the ruler of Slumberland. His main jobs are to look after the Princess, Little Nemo, and of course make sure the King’s things are in order. However, Professor Genius is also the musical moniker of New Jersey producer Jorge Velez. Jorge creates carefully crafted aural dreamscapes reminiscent of Vangelis and Moroder.
Professor Genius First caught our ear with his track ‘Pegaso’ released on the Italians Do It Better compilation ‘After Dark’. The comp as a whole was a masterpiece itself with IDIB artists like Glass Candy, Chromatics Mirage, Farrah. Professor Genius’ Pegaso was a song that really stood out for me.
