Halloween and horror inspire some great music. Here’s a few of my very favorite spooky tunes to get you in the mood. No ‘Thriller’ here—just rockabilly-punks The Cramps, shoegaze-y EDM Frenchies M83, composer for TV Milton DeLugg (covering TV composer Jack Marshall), Def-Juxian Hip Hop beatmaker RJD2, 80’s rap wiseguys DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, and a Cousin Cole and Flufftronix remix of a Misfits punk classic.

I've thought about it before... could probably do some proper trashy electro biz with some of their work...

shizuo(of DHR fame) covered "new kick" though... probably the closest thing I know of in existence.

    SPOOOOOOOOKY
  • @ robad:

That remix was made last year and made the blog rounds. I guess there's a shortage of Halloween themed club/dance remixes.

Anyone up for bastardizing The Cramps with some techno or bmore remix? Let's hear it! Ha.
  • good selection, other than that atrocious misfits remix everyone keeps posting... and it's not that I'm a purist, or care about someone remixing a "classic"... it's just...not...good....

other than that though, thumbs up, especially for the cramps and jazzy jeff
