Daft Punk’s Alive album dropped today—but you knew that already—of course, by the date circled on your calendar and the preceding long trail of X’s.

Like everyone else we’re excited to be able to hold on to the brilliant set from this year’s ALIVE tour. The mix that appears on the album was recorded during the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy performance in Paris, France on June 14th.

We’re fortunate enough to have the brand new limited CD and a accompanying poster to give away. Winner picked at random from eligible entries. All you must do to enter is email the address below. Include your mailing address, and to make you work a little, count and tell us the current number of our Daft Punk related posts, found in our Daft Punk archive.

Done! Thanks for playing!

Born under a bad sign? Feeling unlucky? You can always purchase ALIVE on Amazon. Avaliable in Limited Edition CD or MP3 download format.

You want a music fix now? Here’s some old (like, old) favorites to whet your appetites. Starting with the original A-side/B-side from their 1994 debut:

MP3: Daft Punk – The New Wave (Full Length) (1994)
Removed upon request.

MP3: Daft Punk – Assault (1994)
Removed upon request.

And for good measure a remix grab bag. First, the bootlegs: That Villains remix we’re all up on, another from the ol’ inbox by JoolsFM. Next comes the official mixes: One from Soulwax and another from Jess and Crabbe. And one that I think falls somewhere in the middle by I:Cube (via Floukids):

MP3: Daft Punk – Around the World (Villains More Cowbell DJ Edit)
Removed upon request.

MP3: Daft Punk – Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (JoolsMF Bandwagon Remix)
Removed upon request.

MP3: Daft Punk – Robot Rock (Soulwax Remix)
Removed upon request.

MP3: Daft Punk – Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (Jess & Crabbe Remix)
Removed upon request.

MP3: Daft Punk – Around The World (I:Cube Unreleased Remix)
Removed upon request.

That’s a grip. Don’t forget to buy what hasn’t been posted here… the phenemonal ALIVE album.

Oh, and profess your love at Daft Punk’s MySpace.

    Freakin'Grrrreat Album!
Great performance, saw it in Amsterdam.

A petty there are no plans for making an ALIVE DVD, I think Daft Punk stated it in their chatinterview. Guy-Man wrote that the video's available on internet come close enough to the live experience.
  • Not taking part to the contest since I already bought the edition (yet to receive it, though), but congrats on this nice move.

Ooh, sheesh, I haven't seen anything from Jools in a while... brings back memories of the first time I heard his stuff around 2-3 years ago now on the old Get Your Bootleg On (gybo.org) site! It was a killer remix of the Beastie Boys... time sure flies!
  • Out in the US now...out in South Africa early March.... :(
    Guess who's ordering online again!
  • Jens
out now! i have had the limited edition cd here for some time.. maybe its out earlier in sweden?
  • If you have a zune don't try and download Alive on that marketplace. They have it up, let you purchase and then give you an error code 'cause they don't ACTUALLY have it available yet. So, I've bought it but can't download it. Grrrrrr...

Good live album. Great reminder of what it was like in Los Angeles (or any city for that matter). The visuals definitely add to the sound (especially the encore).

Let's hope they release a DVD of this concert or something. We can only be patient for new stuff from Roule', Crydamoure, Daft Punk, and other TB and Guy projects.
