Jim Starck is the Phillippe Starck of fucking dance music. What’s that mean? It means Jim Starck is a craftsman of sleek and fashionable EDM tunes. (But it doesn’t mean I think they’re related).
Jim Starck and his Electroluxe Family helping to usher in Quatre Records as a new favorite French techno/electro label. If you’ve been paying attention, we got excited when Quatre brought us, fellow Electrolux Fam., D*L*i*d’s remix of Kris Kross‘ classic, ‘Jump’ (get it here). But we were hooked from the first Fam. cut ‘Rock That Shit’ (which also had a hittin’ Vicarious Bliss remix you can grab right here).
Jim Starck’s ‘Gunman’ EP was released last week, and we caught the blast like a double barrel of buckshot.

Lastly, let’s bring this one back to life. It briefly appeared in our big ol’ Thieves Like Us ‘Drugs in My Body’ remix post (here), but we pulled it down so it might still have a go in the official remix contest by Kitsune. Now Rochelle has won the thing, but that doesn’t make this mix any less of a favorite.
