Hey Kittens:

Yes, that is the story exactly! The first song of one of my recent show’s was Dead Disco’s “You’re Out”…10 minutes later, I check my MySpace messages, and Victoria sent me the sweetest note:

“Hi, my name’s Victoria and you just played my song. Thanks! I’m in LA now working on my new project…etc. etc.”

So - as I described it to her - it was total kizmet, or an aligning of the planets, or just damn good luck - that I played DD, and she was in LA AND listening to my show! Hell, at that point, I was just thrilled that she’d had the show on!…lol

The rest just worked out perfectly, by being able to have her be on the show the following weekend.

Good holding off on waiting for the 320kpbs. They got the original 320 out pretty quick, but the dub version got messed up the upload to their server. …I really hate 96kbps with a passion. Someday I hope everybody moves to FLAC or some other lossless audio (and hopefully Serato will finally support it).

I try to link blogs when I remember or it’s appropriate. Everyone deserves to have their work appreciated. Musicians, bloggers , DJs and the whole chain.

just for the record: i got the 320kbps one straight from little boots’ management after writing a few emails.

and well, of course it is nice being first but in the end, who cares. every established blog has a lot of followers that can’t be bothered to read all the blogs.

i just like to give credit when i come across good tracks on other blogs and decide to post them later on. and i hate when people don’t. that’s obviously not the case here though and i heart missingtoof. disaster knows!

Hey, I love this site, but it always crashes the java in my firefox… I’ve tried updating, but still no dice.

Any ideas? I’d really prefer not to have to use IE.

I never liked dead disco, all their songs seemed to have really annoying vocals and horrible tunes - but this is brilliant!

and 320kbps=love. even though it takes up loads of space on my rubbish mp3 player with only 256mb of storage.

Kidz - not every blog has to be FIRST or EXCLUSIVE or MY dad’s smarter than YOUR dad…good lord!
And the Toofies are smart: They waited to give you a good quality version of the song….ain’t THAT more important???

Hell, I feel very exclusive myself, as I gave this wonderful track it’s world premier on my radio show on Feb. 3rd…I had no idea how much love the track would get out there - so quickly!…very cool!
