Brooklyn’s oh-so psych/synthpopper’s MGMT have recently won over everyones heart with their ethereal LP ‘Oracular Spectacular‘. French electro guru’s Justice have shown that they are pretty handy when it comes to remixing spaced out indie rockers as heard in last years smash remix of Klaxons‘ ‘As Above So Below’ which you can still get here. Now the duo who can do no wrong have remixed MGMT’s ‘Electric Feel’ and the internets is eating that shit up, we are no diff.
MP3: MGMT - Electric Feel (Justice Remix)
The MP3 that is circulating is an incomplete radio rip, so don’t be mad at a fool but it’s still enough to whet your whistle. Keep your mice close to the internet, you know the real deal will surface soon enough.
Justice aren’t the only producers in our scene that are lovers of MGMT. Fellow Wesleyan University alum and Palmsout fam member Leif has laid paws on MGMT’s Electric Feel also. UK’s Tronik Youth offers up a shr-edit of ‘Time To Pretend’ as well as Jorge Elbrecht of Violens.

@Leif, that track is awesome.
I’d say Jorge’s is the winner. Keeping it fresh while others are slightly repeating themselves… Go MGMT!
Dear LMissing Toof. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to your company. My name is Tamara Piller. I am the senior manager of the Petrol Exotic website (www.petrolexotic.com) which I have just launched in Australia.
I would love Missing Toof to review our site and help us promote it.
Petrol Records has just released two new concepts to coincide with the launch of our online store – “Drink Dinner, Dance” and “Not Lost in translation”.
The Departure Lounge; Drinks, Dinner, Dance set includes three hours of the smoothest grooves and cutting-edge tracks. The whole night’s music is blissfully taken care of, so you’re free to enjoy your guests, your food, a few drinks and a raft of compliments. We’ve also included a glamorous travel tale and a spicy travel guide to complete the set and enhance the vibe.
The Classic Dinner Party compilation includes food recipes to download with the music, making dinner parties oh so simple and smooth. We’ve got you covered from the moment your guests walk in the door, until the last one leaves (or stays).
For those of you who have ever wanted to dip your toes into the exotic, “Not Lost in translation” is a series of casual language lessons that will teach you the good stuff they didn’t teach you in school, the words and phrases that’ll get you to a club, get you a drink and get you… The worst thing that’ll happen is you’ll start up a conversation.
Head of Petrol Records, CM Murphy says “Petrol is more than just great music; the brand represents a lifestyle and a worldwide trend – to open hearts and minds to international influences and global perspectives”.
Thank you for taking the time to read through my introduction letter.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind Regards,
Tamara Piller
