L.A.’s On Off On (Andrew Verner) may have only been making electronic music for the past few years and remixing for only a fraction of that time, but shows us that he’s got quite the ear for busting out a good remix or two, as demonstrated here with his remixes of Digitalism (A Missingtoof Exclusive), Tears For Fears, and Stardust (for those of you that don’t know, was the one-time musical collaborative effort consisting of producers Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk), Alan Braxe, and Benjamin Diamond)..
His plans for the future are simple- to get his music out to as many people as possible, and play in front of anyone willing to listen. Are you willing??
Here’s that Missingtoof Exclusive..

Here, On Off On chops and screws Tears For Fears’ classic song, ‘Shout’, his way..

I tested this next remix out last week @ Blow Up and the crowd went BANANAS. Here’s On Off On’s remix of Stardusts’ classic, ‘Music Sounds Better With You’..

This last track, ‘Engine Down’, was made employing various samples On Off On found on the internet..can you spot some of the samples?!?

Check out On Off On’s indie/electro band, ‘Mechanical Hands Electric Heart’, here.

Wow, that Shout remix is immense!
Hmmm, I’m just not fond of those “samplemachine goes crazy” house that’s flooding the blogosphere lately. Also, how dare someone remix the Stardust killer like that, it’s a big shame.
I would love to give some positive feedback, but it’s hard with this a-musical stuff. Sorry, it’s feedback anyway!
Missingtoof rocks!
@ Eno:
Feedback is good! Good or bad, feedback is appreciated.
Cheers
The Digitalism remix is wicked
On Off On is one of the most talented DJs out there and I highly recommend his live sets! You’re missing out if you haven’t been to one of his gigs.
=)
Word…Tears For Fears good choice for a remix
