L.A.’s hardest working, edIT of The Glitch Mob crew (with OOAH, Boreta, & Kraddy) is what’s up right now. His sophmore LP, ‘Certified Air Raid Material, was released last October on Alpha Pup (home of Daedelus, Daddy Kev, et. al), and it is certified epic—for those that slept, edIT has just dropped this mix’d version of the album cuts on the free tip, for your head-noddin’ needs.
The mix is total bang’d out glitch-hop with a little help from Los Angeles underground hip-hop heavyweights, The Grouch of Living Legends, Abstract Tribe Unique’s Abstract Rude, Busdriver, O.G. French club-rappers, TTC and Cali’s freshest, D-Styles.
Tracklist:
- Battling Go Go Yubari in Downtown LA
- Certified Air Raid Material
- Straight Heat
- Night Shift (feat. Abstract Rude)
- The Sirens
- Back Up Off the Floor Pt.2 (feat. The Grouch)
- If You Crump Stand Up
- Fire Riddim
- Artsy Remix (feat. The Grouch)
- Crunk de Gaulle (feat. Busdriver, TTC & D-Styles)

edIT just wrapped his Euro tour (wrapping up last night at Koko with DJ Krush). Now he’s headin’ back the the US (via BC)! Peep out dates and details at edIT’s MySpace tour page.
Once upon a time, edIT ran one of my favorite blogs, the gitch-tastic, Complex Player’s Club. It’s gone the way of the dinosaur, but I’ll never forget. Here’s a absurdly awesome favorite produced by edIT, with girls from indie folk band, Daphne the Painted Lady, under the Porno Mathematics guise. I’ll leave you with this:

NICE MIX!!! That “Night Shift” jam is fooking fire. BIG tune. Also really like the Porno Mathematics tune quite a bit.
Air Raid Mixtape link won’t work for me.
Never heard of glitch before this post. Damn this shit is sick! I love it, keep it coming.
Glitch hop used to be for Denver what electro is for the west coast…edIT and Ooah and Boreta and the Glitch Mob used to play like every afterparty every week in Denver…frankly never too in too it and it got burnt out so fast…used to be like the road DJ’s for STS9 two years ago…this album is old.
@ Greg:
The album is old, but edIT is kinda smart for mixing it and releasing it free. It breathed a little life back into the record. I know a bunch of people who just now heard it, either here or now URB (among others) just blog’d the link. edIT did a good trick to get back in the press.
Big up, Denver!
Also, STS9 are fun. Jam on.
more love for Denver!!
I just got one question tho - why is that when craze diplo or hatcha (most recently) no one turns up?? do we need more local/regional blogs? better promoters? what?
glitch blew up after STS9 toted them as the new thing. I got respect for the mob - den knows they have shown plenty of love.
its just many styles are beat to death if thats all their playin in their sets. look at dubstep, baile, bassline - dont get me wrong I LOVE this shit! but in this day and age with the internet you cant stick one sound - people need constant exposure to everything. thats my word~
