Hot dang. Our most favoritest production duo on the come-up, Villains have made a massive tune in the form of this official remix for N.A.S.A.. N.A.S.A., which stands for North America South America, is the production duo of L.A.’s Squeak E. Clean and Sau Paulo’s DJ Zegon. The tune is ‘Whatchudoin” featuring the motherly MIA on the hook with Spank Rock on the verse. The track also features guitar-god Nick Zinner (most notably of Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and Santogold (who take a lesser or absent roles in this here remix):

[12mb | 320 cbr | 5:13 | 128 bpm]

‘Whatchudoin” comes from N.A.S.A.’s debut release, ‘Spirit of Apollo’, which saw release yesterday. Amazon’s has hard copies for you to get your mitts on for just $7.99. That’s half what it costs to download, homeboy! For your money you get a supremely banging album featuring (take a deep breath): Chali 2na (of Jurassic 5), Gift Of Gab (of Blackalicious), Method Man, RZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard (R.I.P.) & Ghostface Killah (of Wu-Tang Clan), E-40, DJ Swamp, Barbie Hatch, John Frusciante, KRS-One, Fatlip & Slim Kid Tre (formerly of The Pharcyde), Karen O (of Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Kanye West, Lykke Li, George Clinton, The Cool Kids, Scarface, DJ AM, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, DJ Qbert, Kool Kojak & DJ Babão, and (we’re not done yet) even such interesting & unlikely combinations a such as Sizzla with Amanda Blank & Love Foxxx (of CSS), and (brilliantly) Tom Waits with Kool Keith and David Byrne joining Chuck D (of Public Enemy), Ras Congo, Seu Jorge & Z-Trip. Epic much?!

In other news, be on the lookout for Villains ‘Birth EP’. True all the tracks on it have had their debut here in the past. But you should love to cop that hardcopy.

Oh, and did you hear about our new Monday night weekly at Cinespace in Hollywood. We’ve got these fantastic DJs called Villains playing alongside True Pseudo, Posso the DJ, myself and the Missingtoof crew, Josh David, 12th Planet, Handroids, Heavy Accents. We’ve also got Dirk Mai of BOXeight and Ceasar Sebastian taking pictures for your memories or for you to live vicariously! It’s called ‘Missingtoof Presents Sophisticated Clubbing’ and you can stay up on all the happnings by adding the party’s MySpace or Facebook pages.

This remix, its a bit of a shame it isn't on the single... only a boombotz remix to go with the song/acapella.

I read about it first here (http://blousesydney.blogspot.com/2009/02/friday...) back in february, got me onto the n.a.s.a album, which is 100% fire I feel. Good looks

This actually looks like a dope album. Lots of dope killer artists collabing together. Some of the combo's are like "Wtf?" but they sound like fun. I think I might buy this one.

That Villains remix is hot too.

    Oh and welcome back Toof!
