Aesop Rock debuted a new track from his upcoming album, None Shall Pass, on HipHopDX.com Friday. The track, entitled “Citronella,” is the b-side to new single “Coffee” featuring indie rockers The Mountain Goats’ lead singer John Darnielle. “Coffee” hit stores on August 7th, and also includes bonus track “The Next Best Thing” from the super-rare 7” picture disc. In addition, the tracks will be available a la carte digitally on all digital music stores.
“Citronella” follows title track “None Shall Pass,” which Aesop Rock released to the masses earlier this summer as the first peek into what fans can expect from the album. PaperThinWalls.com called the track both “speedy and assured” and “low-key and jaunty,” but judge for yourself by listening to the MP3 below.
Aesop Rock will be playing The Filmore in San Francisco on October 10th W/ Rob Sonic, Blockhead, DJ Big Wiz, DJ Signify, Black Moth Super Rainbow. You can pre-order ‘None Shall Pass’ from Amazon.
Daniel Dumile (”doom-uh-lay”) a.k.a. MF Doom has just re-released his out-of-print 2004 release MM..Food? on Rhymesayer Entertainment. The re-issue comes complete with chocolate scented wrapper, sticker, poster and a DVD. GorillavsBear posted ‘Potholderz’ from the album; go get it. Cop your special edition copy of the album here.
And while we’re on the MF subject, a little known fact is that Missingtoof actually gleamed their name from a classic MF Doom song. We’re such fanboys, we know. Listen to ‘Doomsday’ from 1999’s ‘Operation Doomsday‘ (the verse in question is around 2:50).
You guys already got these in your collection. If you don’t, don’t tell on yourself, just go re-up here. Add MF, the super villain on myspace and put him in your top 92.
In lieu of our earlier post featuring Aesop Rock & our general love for The Hood Internet we must make sure everyone is aware of the awesome mashup they posted combining Aesop & The Knife into one glorious creation. I think this is their best work to date & considering all the tracks they have under thier belt, that’s saying a lot.

Time to dust off your cans, mean streaks & scribes & go get famous. Here’s some graff related tracks to listen to while you’re stalking the tracks.
