Know who’s the fucking man? FELIX CARTAL, all caps, is the fucking man.
Cartal is a child of France but his affinity for his second home, Canada is strong. In his newest work, Felix Cartal pays homage to the city where he lived and partied and was undoubtedly inspired. The track is ‘Vancouver’, which bookends his previous track, ‘Montreal Dreams’.

By Sea, Land, and Air, (and Dance Music) We Prosper (Vancover’s new and improved motto).
Our friends at Trash Menagerie have an interview with Felix Cartal where you can pick up ‘Montreal Dreams’ at 96kbps. If you’re thirsty for more info, there’s an earlier interview at Floukids.
Felix’s catalog between his 2006 debut and now is small but immense. The most recent favorite here at Missingtoof, is the B-side to Moving Units recent ‘Crash ‘N’ Burn Victims’ single on So Sweet Records, which we put up a while back.
So what other remixes has Felix laced? Try on MSTRKRFT, Dragonette, and a surprising very (very) favorite remix of Ashlee Simpson. Now, as Felix notes in the aforementioned interview, he does have a thing for female pop vocals, so his Britney Spears remix was an apt follow up.
What to do when you love them all and can’t decide? All or nothing, baby.

MP3: Felix Cartal – Drugs (Hostage Remix)
Which reminds me, how sick is Scotland’s Hostage? Felix Cartal, in his globetrotting, has recently settled in Scotland and clicked up with his electro-fied kindred spirit. A remix is a beautiful thing.
