Berlin electro/techno master Boys Noize remixed Michael Jackson on a whitelabel 12″ in 2006. The track is labeled as “eAT IT”. Interestingly, the B-side is funny man “Weird” Al Yankovic’s track of the same name. (Now a question, how does this compare to the hot-shit Villains‘ track ‘Thrilla’ found here?)

Know who’s the fucking man? FELIX CARTAL, all caps, is the fucking man.

Cartal is a child of France but his affinity for his second home, Canada is strong. In his newest work, Felix Cartal pays homage to the city where he lived and partied and was undoubtedly inspired. The track is ‘Vancouver’, which bookends his previous track, ‘Montreal Dreams’.

Felix’s catalog between his 2006 debut and now is small but immense. The most recent favorite here at Missingtoof, is the B-side to Moving Units recent ‘Crash ‘N’ Burn Victims’ single on So Sweet Records, which we put up a while back.

So what other remixes has Felix laced? Try on MSTRKRFT, Dragonette, and a surprising very (very) favorite remix of Ashlee Simpson. Now, as Felix notes in the aforementioned interview, he does have a thing for female pop vocals, so his Britney Spears remix was an apt follow up.

I’m From Barcelona (who are in fact from Sweden) fall in line with a recent indie rock/rap trend; creating songs either to, or about celebutants. Pase Rock’s ‘Linday Lohan’s Revenge’ had everyone rolling in the aisles as did The Teenagers’ ‘Starlett Johansson’ which is undoubtedly an ode to Scarlett.

I’m from Barcelona take on Miss Britney Spears in this poppy ditty. Can’t tell whether they are fans of her or not, but we are fans of this track.
