Upon listening to the opening track, ‘Saddle Up’, one can blindly dismiss Bunny Rabbit as being a Peaches wannabe. But give this album a patient listening ear, and NYC’s Bunny Rabbit proves that she’s a force to be reckoned with. Her voice reminds me at times of Amil (Jay-Z collaborator) and at others, Kelli Ali (Former Sneaker Pimps singer a.k.a. Kelli Dayton). The beats are all produced by Black Cracker (who also produces and collaborates with CocoRosie) and are reason enough to give ‘Lovers and Crypts’ a thorough listen.
Bitch got some skills! Head-nodding for days. Get your copy here & be the envy of all your hipster friends. For fans of Peaches, Le Tigre, and early Sneaker Pimps.
Two sisters whom I totally thought were sistas for a couple years dropped a new album this Tuesday titled ‘The Adventures of Ghosthorse and Stillborn’. They had the whole indie community’s ears in 2005 with their release ‘Noah’s Ark’. & In 2004 they mastered Kayne West’s production style on their track ‘by Your Side’ off their debut album ‘La Maison De Mon RĂªve’. We’re very excited to see what the new album has to offer.
Enjoy this old fave & a nice select cut from their new CD.
