It's always nice when things we like collide! This is like some MFin' rainbow sprinkles & butterscotch on my strawberry frogurt right here!

What it is, is, N.Y. posse, Leif (once PalmsOut representer) doing a workover of Glass Candy's homage to 5th Ward gangsters, Geto Boys, on the track, 'Geto Boys'. It's got that Geto Boys 'Mind Playin' Tricks on Me' sample that's forever fresh.

And since we haven't had a wholly Leif-centric post since his 'Flossy Bounce' EP years ago, let's keep good ch00nz coming with these: The track 'Black Magic' & remixes from last year's 'Black Magic Promo EP'. Nice work in the original & in the remixes from Swedish houser The Touch with the haunting vocals of Swedish singer Lina and the other from fellow New Yorkers, Stay High that takes a fidget/dubstepped approach.

Keeping the good stuff coming, I must say I'm quite partial to this cover of Stockholm's finest siren, Lykke Li. Leif's voice is so far apart from Lykke Li's—& the vibe is so different—yet it works just the same. An interesting take:

And finishing up with another gem that's been sitting on in the ol' inbox. One from Brooklyn's Neon Coyote, a remix of Leif's 'Timbs'.

Purchase last year's 'Black Magic EP', the sixth release on blog-gone-label, Palms Out Records, through Beatport.com. And sit tight for Leif's soon-to-be-released next solo EP, as well as and EP with his band Kids in the Garden, the reincarnation of the late, Aries Noise.

Straight outta Birmingham, Alabama, COMPUTER CLUB makes brilliant electro tracks of giant proportions (so your playlist better make a lot of room). COMPUTER CLUB is alias of one Mike Diasio, better known as Gigantor, of Atlanta-based drum'n'bass group, Evol Intent. After Evol Intent established itself as one of America's premier drum'n'bass talents, its three members have been making departures: First Evol Intent's A.J. rechristened himself as Treasure Fingers and y'all have been shaking it across the dancefloor since. Next Evol Intent's Knick embarked on a "Bangfest" with a friend, Rochester's Kill The Noise, in Ludachrist (Big Stereo will put you up on Ludachrist, if you aren't knowing). Lastly, Evol Intent's Gigantor breaks apart to form COMPUTER CLUB.

The talent is huge, so expect good things from CC, first out of the gate is 'Load Rocket' which will be released through N.Y.'s System Recordings.

Presumably, the B-side to 'Load Rocket' will be 'Flat Response'. Sit tight for that, and for now, partake in some cover action (of giant proportions), with COMPUTER CLUB's electro take on new wave icons New Order big hit, 'Bizzare Love Triangle'.

The Under The Covers column returns! We've slowly been collecting more cover songs that run the gamut from awesome to odd to awful. All varieties are worth hearing! Listen in awe or disdainful laughter.

30 Seconds to Mars covers Kanye West's 'Stronger' live on BBC Radio 1. This falls into the laughable category even though frontman Jared Leto delivers the vocals so earnestly. They saved the Daft Punk vocals, so don't expect any. I'd be rolling if they tried.

Ontario's hardcore rockers Fucked Up covering Justice's 'Stress' a few months back. Fucking awesome.

File this under fantastic, I first heard do this Pink Floyd cover at last month's Vegoose festival and was very impressed. Not many groups can come close to a classic, but the The Shins do.

The Lemonheads folk-rock version of Misfits' Danzig-era punk classic 'Skulls'. Fucking 'ardcore!

And in that same vein, this Zwan (Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame's 2001-2003 project) cover of Metal gods Iron Maiden on 'Mark of the Beast'. Probably one of my favorite covers comes at you from the Spun soundtrack.

Next up, Lightspeed Champion covering The Beatles immortal John Lennon. Lightspeed Champion is Devonte Hynes or just "Dev", formerly of thrash-rap-punk group Test Icicles. Test Icicles remains one of my favorite things ever. I seriously moaned and writhed while morning the death of the Test Icicles last year. But the musicians live on! Dev maintains a blog at TheWorldForgot.com, there he puts up a great many home recordings—quite different from Test Icicles, but great in a whole new way:

Ladytron getting sexy R'n'B'd out covering Tweet's slut-anthem 'Oops (Oh My)'. Y'all remember this original? With the Timbaland beat and Missy Elliot doin' backup vocals? This cover appeared as a b-side on their 'Evil' single:
