The time is near! Brazilian indie band CSS will release their second album, ‘Donkey’, via Sub Pop on 7/21.
Though they went through a minor lineup change (Bass player Ira Trevisan left to pursue other interests), CSS is still alive and well, and with ‘Donkey’, they continue to hone their craft with their infectious pop songs.
If you haven’t already, go and download their first single, ‘Rat is Dead (Rage)’ on their website.
Having toured with the likes of Diplo & Bonde do Role, CSS embark on another tour that will take them through Europe & North America until around mid-September. Check them out if you can!
And visit their Myspace page for all the latest updates and junk too!
And don’t forget to pick ‘Donkey’ up at your local independent record store when it drops later this month!!
Europe’s Billion Dollar DJs have been keeping pretty busy, recently remixing electro rock cuties Robots In Disguise, as well as cranking out other awesome remixes for the likes of Brazilian dance punkers CSS and fellow UK bad girl M.I.A..
They’ve also recently collaborated with London’s Oh-Death, so keep your eyes peeled and ears open for that.
The BDDJ’s were kind enough to give Missingtoof an exclusive remix of Florida’s party rap superstars Yo Majesty- this’ll have you doing some major electro aerobics for real…Bounce-ba-bounce-ba-bounce-ba-bounce!!!
If you haven’t met before, give a pound to True Pseudo. These are some brothers from good stock—more L.A. based drum & bass converts that fall closely in line with the immense musical talent of friends and associates, Villains, LA Riots & After Midnight. Welcome to the gifted class, True Pseudo, the new class clown with the oxymoronic name.
The True Pseudo crew consists of Infiltrata, Flinch & SERG—each established and still quite active solo drum & bass DJ/producers going B2B2B for some electro’d up original bangers.

Removed at label’s request.
Heat! The crew also has some quality bootleg remixes of Brazillian hotness, Cansei de ser Sexy (CSS), Montreal indie-darlings Arcade Fire, and British dance-rockers Klaxons. Crank that:
True Pseudo have a collaborative record titled ‘Roshambo’ with After Midnight, that will be released on NYC’s DJ Exodus’s label; tentatively scheduled for a summer release. Keep your eyes on Beatport for developing details.
You can see the True Pseudo at future dates in Los Angeles, San Diego Las Vegas, and notably at Almost Better Than Sex, everyones favorite lingerie-theme rave-fest. Current tour dates always available on the True Pseudo MySpace tour page.
Kill The Noise is something you ought to crank the fuck up! (Wait, is that an oxymoron?)
Hailing from Rochester, NY, Kill The Noise delivers hard hitting electro to get toes shuffling as much as heads banging. The mix below, titled ‘TURN OFF / TUNE IN - Vol. 1′ begins with a hodgepodge of tawdry news bits and over the next hour builds up to a frenzied climax. There’s a dance club in your iPod now, dunny.
Play it loud and often. We’ve been anxiously awaiting this mix for a long time, and now our ears are given deliverance. What’s better? Kill The Noise is making the trip from NY to So. Cali to play this weekend at Trust at Proof Bar in Santa Ana on Saturday, Tilt at Jimmy’s Lounge in Los Angeles on Sunday, and Fucking Awesome at Beauty Bar in Hollywood on Monday. NY, you get yr boys back on the 25th along side Craze at Pearl in Rochester and Famous Friends at HUGS in Brooklyn on February 15th.
What’s more? How about exclusive remixes of Cansei de Ser Sexy and the Thieves Like Us remix joint. Get at ‘em.
Our boy Chris over at Gorilla vs Bear turned us on to The Hood Internet yesterday who in turn got it from Aaron Brink of mayormaynot.org. While most folks tire easily of mash ups we here at missing Toof live off of them. & The Hood Internet has plenty of good eatin’ on their site. Check out these three gems.
Head on over to Hood Internet headquarters & grab the rest of their jams. If they keep pumping out jams like these they will be rich. Or at least Hood Rich.
