L.A.’s DE SIGNER label is the brainchild of French export Jean Marc Virard—or JMV—artist, designer and musician. DE SIGNER, part of the larger Le Branché record label, emerge from the internetz while throwing elbows in 500$ sweaters on their debut “leak”, ‘EYES LIES’, a blippy electro banger with pleasantly-sterile French-to-English-then-back-again vocals by JMV and his mate, Audrey Montgalliard. Audrey brings vocals reminiscent of Miss Kittin on a good day. The end product is retro-futuristic, posh and grimy—A head-nodable dichotomy.

The album, ‘Designers Rule the World’, will be released may 27th, digitally through Turntable Lab or your favorite e-distributor. Audrey Montgalliard gets by managing L.A.’s premier Fred Segal boutique, which will carry physical Le Branché releases as well (among other tastemaking hotspots: Colette, et. al.).
Le Branché is well on their way to being all-inclusive media conglomerate. Along with their crewmates from Union, Stüssy, Dead Crew & Turntable Lab, Le Branché throw an event, Comme a la Maison, every 1st and 3rd Monday at Hollywood’s The Room.
