Hot-as-shit French electro-pop star Yelle just dropped her debut album, ‘POP-UP’ on Source-etc and you can get it right now from Amazon. It’s everything I wanted it to be, it’s some pop and it’s some dance club and it’s in a language I don’t understand even slightly! So fun! Yelle and her hot-as-shit producer GrandMarnier came on the world radar their first single, ‘Je Veux te Voir’ and are stepping it up with the second single, ‘À Cause des Garçons’ with the drop of the album.

Also, a remix for Yelle-like French electro-pop starlett Catherine Ferroyer-Blanchard, who has a nice cassette single titled, ‘Chanson d’Amour’ (yea, it’s really a cassette single) that’s been catching ears at hipster boutiques and getting int’l blog love (see BigStereo. T-shirts are the new naked.

Here at the ‘Toof we are always posting about music. Music this, music that. But there’s a whole mess of stuff we’re interested in, like cigarettes, cash, and clothes.

I’m sure you all know that the shirts from the Justice D.A.N.C.E. video were/are actual real life t-shirts, most created by So-me, their official graphic designer. Many of the super limited shirts featured in the vid went up for sale on Collete.fr shortly after it leaked. Almost all were immediately gobbled up by all the fanboys/fangirls out there.

There’s a few floating around on the ebay and wesoldout if you are willing to shell out the dough. Actually, the “Charlotte” shirt and the “Make It Right” shirt are still available for regular price at Sixpack.fr.

We love us some Justice and Ed Banger just as much as the next guy but we can’t justify spending hundreds of dollars for a shirt when we are on a permanent Top Ramen diet. Especially when there’s a gaggle of designers and shops out there selling affordable, high quality merch. Here’s a few of our faves:

Top notch shirts created by RA909 of Electrik Suicide. His resume includes some big high profile clients such as Burton Snowboards, The Police and IDPure. We ourselves commissioned him to design one of our flyers.

The Hundreds

The Hundreds is Los Angeles crew who’s been running for a minute. They have a full online shop with denim, caps, and Tee’s for guys and girls. Cop a couple of these suave shirts, get you a pair of Dunk lows and you’re fitted. Their Courtney Love shirt is amazing. I’m thinking about getting me two or three.

Blacktooth is the art site of talented artist Carey Haider who hails from Portland. Very hip selections here. Pieces are made in limited quantities. Get the goods while they last.

The latest 12″ offering from Vive la Fete on Surprise Records, also home to other electro acts Nid & Sancy, Pink Slow Motel, and Eric Powa B. Though the original is a fantastic electro-dance-rock track complete w/ hot French female vox, the track that’ll blow your mind is Sweetlight’s remix, which blends pulsating synths, bleeps, bleeps, and throbbing kicks to formulate into a dance floor ‘BANGER’.
