Ka So Re is the new production project of our favorite Finnish DJ, Kimarr, of ‘Pose It Up’ mixtape fame. Since arriving in our playlist last week, these tracks have really grown on us. It’s modest electro with modern hard hitting baselines and roots digging directly into classic ’80s electro stylings (OMG vocoders! Let’s boogaloo! Now!). The production is crisp for the bedroom, the dive bar, and the big room with the sound activated lazers. Say “Greetings” to Ka So Re:

I was cruising through the Missingtoof dental records the other day and came across Finnish DJ/Producer Kimarr’s ‘Pose It Up’ series of mixtapes and found myself poppin’ and lockin’ to the old mixes which can still hold their own amongst some mixes made last week.
Then I got to thinkin’ ‘Damn, what happened to homie? Did he find some other blog to give all his lovin’ to?’ I cried into my pillow for a bit and three hours I hear a ding from the inbox and to my shock & surprise there was this brand new mash by Kimarr!
It contains some new and old and by the end, it chops up to Baltimore.

Kimarr assures us that Pose It Up Volume 4 is in the works and you know we will have that ish first on the ‘Toof. Dig into the Missingtoof guts for the previous Pose It Up mixes. Holla at Kimar though his myspace or on his official site.

Kimarr, along with DJ Q-Soul host their own show every other Friday at Bassoradio. The words are Finnish, but the tracks are the universal language of electronic music.
Kimarr is a dj and a musician hailing from Helsinki, Finland. He and Dj Q-Soul also host their own show every other Friday at Bassoradio, Finnish radiostation concentrating on urban and electronic music. Pose It Up #2 -mix is the sequel to Kimarr’s first Pose It Up- mixtape which came out in March. Number two follows the same established style with bit more rapid and rougher pacing, but maintains the delicateness of its predecessor. This mix was made with the same gear as the firstone, Technics 1200’s, cd deck and Kaoss Pad.
