Tonight it’s about to be on and poppin’ at Lights Down Low @ Club 222! Sleazemore has been known to bring out the big boys & he’s done it again! DJ Krames of Cobra Kai, Brooklyn electro duo Purple Crush, Richard Oh?! of Big Stereo & of course Sleazemore himself!
You guys know who they are, but how about some ish to whet your whistle for the debauchery that’s about to take place tonight?!
This weekend it’s going down! San Francisco based ‘lectro rockers Luxxury have finally unleashed their long awaited ‘Sweet and Vicious, The Remixes’ CD (cover art work by me!). There will be two back to back record release parties starting this Friday.
First up, Friday, Lights Down Low vs Luxxury. Featuring live performances by Baron Von Luxxury & Johnatron of The Workout joined by the likes of Canada’s ‘All Night Dance Party‘. Special guest DJ Devin Dirt all the way from Brooklyn & of course resident dancefloor destroyer Sleazemore on the ones and two’s.

San Francisco’s golden child, my friend & one of my favorite dj’s, SLEAZEMORE drops a new mix for all your grimey asses. The Florida native relocated to San Francisco a little over a year ago & quickly became a staple in the disco/dance scene which is hard to do in a city like SF which is literally littered with hungry, talented & established djs. He’s performed along side the Presets, Phones, Matthew Dear, Junior Sanchez, & Paparazzi (to name a few) & will be throwing a dope set to warm everyone up for the Ed Banger tour on March 24th at the Mezzanine.

Sleazmore has his own event called Lights Down Low which is every 2nd & Fourth Friday of the month at Club 222. Light Down Low is notorious for bringing out hard hitting acts like Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Acid Girls, Julian S Process of Pinkskull, Blake Miller & Guns ‘N’ Bombs who are playing with Sleazemore @ Club Loaded this friday. Get on the team.
Friday I had the pleasure of seeing Guns N Bombs perform at Lights Down Low. I talked to Johnny & Filip a bit and enjoyed their awesome set. I recorded a bootleg of the set but the bass proved to be intense for my shitty mic. I did however get an okay sounding video clip of GNB performing ‘Nothing is Getting Us Anywhere. The clip is a tad dark, but what do you expect the club is called ‘Lights Down Low’.
As an added bonus I also met Julian S Process of Pink Skull who are responsible for a for a number of amazing remixes out there right now, including the SpankRock ‘Bump’ remix I posted in December. Julian djayed that night also & not only does he have superb musical taste & djaying ability but he is an awesome person as well.

AND we’ve received A LOT of emails this past couple of weeks from artists & djs which we want to post but we’re in the middle of revamping the site. We’re switching over to the new Blogger system & making some minor tweaks to the design. Hopefully it will be easier on the eyes & easier to navigate the site.
The only problem is Bloggers new system uses strict validation before it will even let you upload a new design. Can’t even have any unclosed breaks. Customizing bloggers new widget system is also a bitch. But hopefully I’ll be all done with that by midweek & can get back to posting music.

There’s so much good music out right now, Tonight will be nothing but straight bangers. I love Sleazemore’s sets and I’m really excited to see what Acid Girls have in store for SF. I’m hoping someone spins that new Simian Mobile Disco track ‘Hotdog’. That’s the jam right now.
