Past Is Prologu title="Tycho Past is Prologue" /></p> <p>I met <a href="http://www.myspace.com/tycho">Tycho</a> back in 2002 when I was more of an ‘IDM’/electronic dj. His music is as lush and as head noddy as it gets. Think <a href="http://www.myspace.com/abeautifulplace">Boards of Canada</a> and <a href="http://www.myspace.com/fourtetkieranhebden">Four Tet</a>, and you kinda get the picture. This limited edition colored vinyl, which is a sampler of his album of the same name, is out on Merck records, a label he and I both loved and respected then, and now look, they’re releasing his shit! </p> <p>The opening track, ‘From Home’ is my pick of the bunch. It starts with a synthy build up that makes me feel like I’m floating in the air being smothered with soft fluffy clouds, then a steady hip hop beat connects everything together, and you end out feeling like everything in the world is all right.
