Krames @ 1/2 Alive November 9th (Vancouver)

krames2web Krames @ 1/2 Alive November 9th (Vancouver)

The infamous Krames of Cobra Kai party crew (Richmond, Virginia) teams up with Van City’s most bangin’ party army; 1/2 Alive. As we said in our last 1/2 Alive post they they keep it’s sweatier than a the devil’s drawls in the summer. Experience the madness first hand.

Krames knows how to work a remix like no other, recently he’s remixed the French powerhouse Daft Punk, put out a jam with Purple Crush and Scottie B, mashed up Busta Rhymes and threw his take on Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s ‘Relax’ vs Glenn Frey’s ‘You Belong To The City’. Wrap your ipod’s around these.

MP3:  Krames - Relax In The City

MP3:  Krames - How We Do It Over Hur

MP3:  Purple Crush & Scottie B - Fuck You, Pay Me (Krames remix)

And, I know you guys know that Krames teamed up with Bird Peterson and drop a 13 minute little mixtape for y’all. If you didn’t, sleep no more.

MP3:  Krames & Bird Peterson - Fangs & Feathers

He’s been a busy boy and if you roll to this party and your Nikes are laced up right you should be getting busy with a fly honey by the end of the night. Somebody with a bankroll bring Krames back to the bay. I got five on it.

Scottie B, Bmore legend: Live mix 5-6-2007

This post lost quite a bit of its relevance, as it was supposed to promote a Scottie B (and Stretch Armstrong) show in L.A. on Saturday called Wild Dogs, but I was having problems updating the site. So, I’m losing the promo and hype and just leaving the very solid Scottie B mix that was to accompany it.

Accepted as the godfather of Baltimore Club, or Bmore sub-genre, DJ Scottie B has a name and legacy that precedes him. With Bmore’s exploding popularity, Scottie B has finally graced L.A. with appearances this month. Below is the set from his first L.A. show, at DJ AM, Steve Aoki, and BPM Magazine’s weekly party called Banana Split.

Big ups to Mike B, who recorded the mix and posted it on his blog (along with his mix and DJ AM’s mix from the same evening). I’m sharing Scottie B’s mix below and it’s super fun and highly recommended:

MP3: Scottie B - Live at Banana Split in Hollywood 05-06-2007 [57:24 / 53MB]

It’s all recorded live, so expect some awkward flips of the transformer where there would otherwise be crowd participation. No tracklist available, but lots of people are putting the puzzle together on the ScratchLive forum, where the setlist is a hot topic.

The best places to get at Scottie B is at his company, Unruly Online or his MySpace.
