We got a new toof.

domingastyle We got a new toof.

This weekend we went and scored ourselves another contributor and a dope one at that. Welcome Jamie O. from the ‘Sco as the newest ‘Toofer. Give her a while to get used to the set up but soon she’ll be keeping you in the musical know & verbally abusing you in the comments.

Aside from having a totally awesome haircut and knowing way more about beats than you, she really knows how to cut a rug which earned her the nickname ‘Dance Attack’ back in the day. Check the vid to see the skills.

Song in the vid is none other than Van She’s remix of Klaxons‘ ‘Gravity’s Rainbow’. Any self respecting Generation Y’er already has this, but i’ll lay it down here in case you’re slow on the uptake.

MP3:  Klaxons - Gravity’s Rainbow (Van She remix)

The track was off the Xan Valleys EP, if you ain’t got it go out and get it We got a new toof.. Klaxons are playing The Great American Music Hall in SF on July 11th. Check their myspace for more dates.

congrats on the new gig julie o. if that is your real nammmmeeeee!?!? i hate not knowing peoples’ real names.

come with me. come with me. we’ll travel to infinity.

holy shit! forgot about this jont. back in january i started a pretty serious hallucinogen binge that centered around blowing lines of dxm alone in the bathroom before leaving work, then rushing home before it kicked in.

if asked by a curious stranger what the unequivocal highlight of this days-long trip was (which culminated in a frantic 911 call), i would be left with no choice but to say that first night.

unsure of where this substance d was going to take me. lying in bed, ipod fired up.

    and there it was.

    our mother.

the shimmering albedo of atmosphere and ice caps and oceans. around 2 min deep i was really fucken feelin it, ya know? the body high’s absolutely intense. it is a dissociative anesthetic after all.

but floating above earth’s surface, in the fetal position, enshrouded in my orbiting celluloid space capsule, tripping balls miles above earth’s surface just wouldn’t have been the same without this bangin track. music turned out to be a major component of those expeditions dontchaknow.

    thanks missingtoof.com

That song kicks ass. It’s probably my favorite, so why do you have to make a post that is so narcissistic, gluttonous and pretentious? We get it. You’re down. Is it THAT cool to know about that song. Shit.
