Igor “Iggor” Cavalera, famed ex-drummer (and founding member) of Brazillian Death Metal band Sepultura and his wife/producer Laima Leyton are Mixhell.

Mixhell has been getting around in Europe, opening for the some of the most important names in electronic music, like Daft Punk, Soulwax and Simian Mobile Disco.
We’d first heard of Mixhell from our boys at Stochholm Beat Connection, who have been giving Mixhell a hell of a push and getting some love in return. Mixhell gave SBC an exclusive mix back in May, but I’m passing it along—because no really good mixtape stays unduplicated! OK this makes much more sense after downloading. That first one, the mp3 player is spitting it out for me at like 2x or 3x normal speed somehow.. I’m on Firefox 2.04 / OSX.

I was going to see them at Skol Beats (it´s brazilian electronic music festival that happens in São Paulo) but I´ve actually miss them. A lot of people aren´t enjoying this project of them, Igor came from a metal band and have no past with electro music. But after listening this, I´ll probably check them out at some club around here.
