While Radiohead was releasing their 7th studio album for free, Spank Rock’s XXXChange was busy remixing Thom Yorke’s ‘The Eraser’ which was from his 2006 album of the same name. The track has been remixed by many including Ellen Allien. It was also sampled by hip hop group Child Rebel Soldier (CRS) which consists of Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West and Pharrell. Xxxchange takes the song and turns it up just a tad, giving it a little foot tapping drum beat and a few back cymbals tossed in for good measure.

I can’t believe someone put hand claps behind Thom Yorke, that’s hilarious! Pity it’s unofficial, but you never know, 15 Steps had kids singing on it, hand clapping remixes might be just around the corner.
That said, this is still a pretty good mix. Foot tap’n & hand clap’n! Ha ha.

First off, I’m gonna buy the CD when it comes out in ‘08. I don’t need to pay $90 (AU) for vinyls I’m not going to use…
That’s why I paid nothing for the CD. Got a receipt saying I got 0 charges to my credit card. It also said something somewhere about the processing fees. But as they never asked for my credit card number they might find it hard trying to process that. I.E. Free CD!
Fair ‘nuf. Didn’t realise you could do that! I bought it before the fact that there was actually going to be a CD release was pointed out… But more important than any of this, it’s a good album!
