Fisher Preyes is from Paris. She is the woman behind the scenes. Along with her team of boys, she crafts fashionable dance remixes. The larger collective call themselves “FPcrew”. We like them all (and hope that one unnamed toy company doesn’t send them cease and desist letters).
A nice stream of FPcrew remixes have flooded our inbox recently. Fine bootlegs that run gamut from underground to pop. The best from dancey Londoners Disco Damage, American pop icon Prince, São Paulo metal-gone-electro outfit Mixhell and a dance club remix of Manchester indie rockers Maudite Dance.

MP3: Prince - Sign ‘O’ the Times (Fisher Preyes Remix)
MP3: Mixhell - Sore Throat Break (Fisher Preyes Remix)
MP3: Maudite Dance - Underground (Fisher Preyes Remix)
And for good measure, because I like this track and think it needs a more ears—the original of Maudite Dance’s ‘Underground’:

2. REMIXES
We provide artful re-interpretations/remixes for individual songs for artists/labels.
Description: We will change and create a different arrangement for the original song. We will do this through a variety of techniques with the pure intent of being tastefully creative.
Timeframe: Depending on how busy we are, from 3 to 7 work days. If not possible in that time frame, we will notify the client before any contract is signed.
Contract: A simple contract will be provided online in .PDF format, which can be printed and mailed to us. Upon arrival of the contract and first half of the payment, remixing will begin.
Tracks: Along with the contract, a DVD or CD or another way (yousendit, etc.) should be provided with the original multi-track format files. We currently work in Ableton Live.
Usage of remix: Due to the nature of a remix the rights to the song remain to the original copyright owner. We do not request any royalties on our remix. We do however wish to negotiate possible usage of the remix for our own simple resumé which would be strictly as a display of our own work. The copyright owner may do whatever they please with the remix. We recommend using it on singles, remix albums, exclusive online downloads, iTunes downloads, etc.

plagiaris anyone?
@ Bobb:
You have a sharp eye! Fisher Preyes should have “remixed” the wording or something. I dunno if RAC would care, but stealing verbiage is quite annoying (particularly touchy about it since we’re bloggers).
For anyone who’s curious, we love RAC too:

andré from RAC has contacted us, everything’s fine now
We sent Fisher Preyer the files for our track in good faith and in trust and they sent us the “re-mix” which was more of a re-work as they used our original sound files and we told them we were not happy with the “re-mix” and asked if they would NOT make it public ….
We are feeling a little bit bitten and sad ;(
he who never made a mistake, never made a discovery.

Hello Laura and Kristin
“cocktail cunt” remix or rework has been removed by us from our myspace, and in a few days the track won’t be available on blogs (non permanent storage). Our main goal was to promote your music and enjoy playing with your tunes for free, not to make you sad of course! We wish you a successfull release EP
