Poni Hoax- Images of Sigrid

poni Poni Hoax- Images of Sigrid

French indie/electronic band Poni Hoax recently came out with one hell of an album in ‘Images of Sigrid’, in some instances recalling bands like LCD Soundsystem, Who Made Who, Roxy Music, and Talking Heads.

Super catchy hooks + hummable melodies + basslines that stick like rice= Poni Hoax. The French did it again.

Here are two choice cuts off the super-solid ‘Images of Sigrid’..

Here’s “The Bird is On Fire’…Killer bass stabs. And more cowbell please..

This track, ‘Budapest’, was the standout off their self-titled debut album, which features guest vocalist Olga Kouklaki and has been a Missingtoof favorite ever since it’s release..

I live in France but I haven’t heard about Poni Hoax. It’s too bad cause I really like it! I’m maybe too much into English and American music ? Anyway, I will be following them from now on.
