More of these party pictures (and some insane afterparty pictures) available at Frisco Disco Fever. This past weekends Frisco Disco had Glass Candy (Portland) heating up the house, expect pics from that shindig soonly. The next BLOW UP (Dec 21) will feature electro-rapper Gold Chains and Missingtoof DJs.
The witty-tour award absolutely goes to DC’s Tittsworth and ATL’s Klever, who are kicking off their “Kleavage” tour in Miami tonight. Expect good things from this pair of club smashing turntablists—but I didn’t have to tell you that. You already know this isn’t something to be missed when they roll through your town.
Get amped with these Club knockers: Titts’ re-work of Bell Biv Devoe’s ‘Poison’, and (’cuz ’tis that season again) ‘Titts’mas’ with the sleigh-bells and Paul McCartney’s ‘A Wonderful Christmas Time’ samples. Oh, and that A+ remix of Justice’s ‘D.A.N.C.E.’. We put it up last month, but it’s so good it gets a blog-rewind.
Klever is one bad dude! These tracks will sound very familiar if you’ve ever spent a little time on a club dancefloor. We’ve got a re-work of Purple Ribbon Allstars featuring Big Boi (of Outkast) re-branded as ‘Kryptobounce’. We’ve got a so called “VIP mix” of Youngbloodz featuring Lil’ Jon and Pitbull on ‘Don’t Start No Shit’. And, lastly we’ve got a remix of Hollywood Holt’s ‘Caked Up’.
Aw snap, Missingtoof is off to Vegoose. You’re coming too, right? You should! Remember how your boo always says y’all should go on spontaneous trips? Now’s your chance, young lovers! Halloween-desert-Vegas-PLUR-fest!
Vegoose doubles as a massive costume party—so get your scary/slutty digs together and let’s all get terrified/horny and slam dance to Daft Punk (and/or Mastodon, who is also on the bill)!
If you’re an L.A. head and you’re sticking local, go check the costume party with Eric Prydz at Avaland tomorrow (the 27th). It’ll be major-epic and that’s where I’d be. (Oh, and have you touched yr self to the ‘Call On Me’ video lately? I have.)
So, I was going to stay in tonight and configure the new server, BUT! We found out that Jefrodisiac was going to be in L.A. tonight so we called up our good friend Richie Panic who is fresh back from playing Ruff Club at CMJ and we sweet talked our way into djaying at Frisco Disco tonight!
There’s some heat in the OC tonight, at Santa Ana’s MUTE party. They’ve got Montreal’s VNDLSM (sometimes with the constants), known around the world for his dance-club remix of Rhianna’s (and Jay-Z’s) ‘Umbrella’.
Also present will be blog-hero Charles Requina, formerly of Chazblog/Repetorier and recently, Palms Out Sounds. Dude’s taste is impeccable so expect only the newest, the classic-ist and most fresher-ist!
Also, again: Kidz on FM, which is the former DJ Casio’s live electronic group—which, I might add, is rumored to blow socks off toes. So, when was the last time you listened to a Casio mix? …That’s too long! Get (re)acquainted in the Casio archive.
Also, again, again: Dan Sena of punk outfit Bullet Train to Vegas puts his needles down on the plates. Dan Sena throws another of OC’s finest dance parties, Busywork, and has recently put all his music inclination toward crafting club tracks. Sample this original production:
Frisco Disco is tonight! Resident dj’s Jefrodisiac and Richie Panic holding it down as always. Modular records signee Muscles CD release party so get their early for some cool shwag. Special Guest DJ Robert Smithee, fresh from LA where he rocked out at Banana Split with Blake Miller and Steve Aoki. Catch him in a very exclusive SF set.
Party photog Meleksah Jurgenson will be on hand snapping photo’s of you all night. View some of the past debauchery on Frisco Disco’s official party photography blog Frisco Disco Fever.
You know how it goes down here at the Frisco Disco. Come enjoy the sexy music, the beautiful people and the abundant mind bending substances.
If you plan on seeing Ladytron at Hollywood & Highland, you need know know that although the party is free, you need an incoming Metro (MTA) ticket stub. So take some public transportation and you can get utterly aresholed on booze without worry! It’s a win/win!
If you want get down with the intimate after party at Teddy’s, know that you need to be over 21, and have to be one of the lucky chosen few. We have a couple handful of invites to give out to this swank little free party, with free drinks and Ladytron on the decks. You’re down? Send an email to us before 3pm tomorrow, and, if you’re lucky, we’ll put you on the list that night—you even bring a date or heterosexual life-partner. To enter:
Blow Up is this Friday w/ special guest legendary Stretch Armstrong (from world famous ‘Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show‘)! Stretch is responsible for breaking many of hip-hop’s biggest stars. The Notorious B.I.G. got his break freestyling his radio program, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas and Mobb Deep all appeared on his show.
Stretch has recently turned his attention toward Electro with a wicked, grinding remix of Armand Van Helden’s ‘Touch Your Toes’ now tearing up the clubs. It should be off the chains to say the least.
And you already know how Jefrodisiac and Blow Up doest it! Last month when Missingtoof played it there was sweat dripping from the ceiling & titties falling from the sky! Can I get a witness?!
As usual, party photogs will be on hand to capture the madness! Pics from the last Blow Up with DJ Funk!
I know you fools have been saying you’re ready, but really, are you? Can you ever really fully prepare yourself for the madness that is about to take place at the Mezzanine this Friday?! I think not! That’s right, Paris Terror Club comes to town for the biggest Robot Rock to date!
Behold the line up to end all line ups! Trouble & Bass prodigal son Curses! a.k.a. Drop The Lime, Institubes ambassadors Surkin, Para One, & Orgasmic, Walter Meego & the Bay Area’s favorite dance rockers, VHS or Beta.
I know you’re drooling right now just reading this post, trying to plan out what you’re gonna wear. But here, let me tantalize you some more with a few of the jams that will definitely have your ears ringing well into next week.
In case you didn’t know Tuesday is the new black! San Francisco’s Richie Panic (Blow Up, Frisco Disco, Robot Rock) invades the streets of downtown San Jose tonight armed only with grimey vinyl’s and a thirst for alcoholic beverages! Come witness the destruction on the dancefloor!
