While on a train ride from Portland to Seattle, Them Jeans made a nice mellow remix for Sigur Rós‘ track, ‘Illgresi’, taken from their brand new album, ‘Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust’. (Translated in English for those of you [like me] who can’t speak Icelandic: ‘With a Buzz in Our Ears We Play Endlessly’)
This makes for a nice little summer jam and goes well next to some Lali Puna & M83.

Saw Sigur Rós at Bonnaroo this year. The whole crowd tried to initiate a sit down for the show because of their type of tunes. They are just out there and highly recommended for those docile moments in life. I have to say when the main dude was thrashing on his guitar with a violin bow and then the six piece horn section started parading to the front from backstage i almost blew a gasket!

The great thing about this is that I don’t think there’s a single one of us that hasn’t, at one point, considered remixing a track along the lines of Sigur Ros. Props to Them Jeans for actually doing it though. It’s nice when people don’t limit themselves to a particular genre.
