OK! The Teenagers finally have something full length in the world! It is ‘The World is Not Fair EP’ on Rallye / Klee for the Japanese market. It’s available here. The Site is in Japanese and to tell you the truth, I don’t know if they ship int’l. Yo, Japan snap one up for us!

So what can you absolutely get your mitts on right now? We have some crisp, new & official remixes by some fellow Frenchies: First, brilliant work from Les Petits Pilous and another brilliant colab. between Yuksek & Brodinski.

MP3: The Teenagers - Starlett Johansson (Les Petits Pilous Remix)

MP3: The Teenagers - Homecoming (Yuksek & Brodinski Remix)

Also, a new CFCF remix that’s hot as shit, but we can’t share it because of teh labelz don’t wants it.

But, don’t fret too much. Here’s some other commissioned Teenz remixes we’ve impatiently been sitting on for a long time due to more label shenanigans. Now The Teenz gave us a thumbs up, so please enjoy! One remix for one of our very favorite Aussies, Van She and another for recently mentioned electro-indie L.A. hipsters Shiny Toy Guns:

MP3: Van She - Sex City (The Teenagers Remix)

MP3: Shiny Toy Guns - Don’t Cry Out (The Teenagers Remix)

Lastly, Japanese producer Narctrax put this bootleg remix together and, I’m feeling pretty much everything this dude is doing. Check ‘em out now and know we’ve got more coming down the internet tubes.

The Teenagers - Starlett Johannson video / Remixes from Blamma! Blamma!, Connan and The Mockasins, Gentlemen Drivers, Passions & Detect

The Teenagers - Starlett Johannson

The Teenagers are back in a major way, with a new video for ‘Starlett Johannson’ featuring the object of adoration herself—Scarlett Johannson (or so the rumor-mill goes). The video coincides with the single release on Merok Records and the announcement of their first US tour (Toronto too!).

Y’all remember them Blamma! Blamma! cats? Remember how they did amazing things to songs from Blood Red Shoes, Headland and Maximo Park (kinda) and it changed our chests irreversibly—forever? Well, now they’ve done an official promo remix for The Teenz! OMG! <333

MP3: The Teenagers - Starlett Johansson (Blamma! Blamma! “Scared of Spiders” Mix)

Also, we’ve got a new and rather unique pop-rock remix (cover?) by Connan and The Mockasins:

MP3: The Teenagers - Starlett Johansson (Connan and The Mockasins Remix)

More! ‘Cuz we never get enough. The tracks that started the Teenagers craze, ‘Homecoming’ (released on Kitsune) and ‘Fuck Nicole’, as remixed by Parisians Gentlemen Drivers, Brooklyn Trouble & Bass‘r Passions, & Parisian Klub des Loosers‘r Detect:

MP3: The Teenagers - Homecoming (Gentlemen Drivers Rave Remix)

MP3: The Teenagers - Homecoming (Passions Remix)

MP3: The Teenagers - Fuck Nicole (Detect Remix)

And, to prove The Teenagers can throw down a remix—here’s their take on London’s Simian Mobile Disco, reworked so brilliantly. We posted it before, but, oh so good, it’s a repeater:

MP3: Simian Mobile Disco - It’s the Beat (The Teenagers Remix)

We’re Teenz fanboys, as you can tell, so you’ll know we’ll be at as many of these tour dates as possible—including their very first American show in L.A. I’ll be in the front weeping like they’re the freaking Beatles.

The advice I have for you is presale, presale, presale! Check your local box office.

Visit The Teenagers on MySpace. Also, visit their label Merok on MySpace or MerokRecords.com to buy the Starlett Johannson single (Merok Records don’t last!).

Oh, and our Teenz archive runs so deep—dive in. (Deep!)

Deeeeep!

GoodBooks - “Passchendaele” video and dance remixes

GoodBooks - Passchendaele

GoodBooks are onto something great. They dropped on the scene in 2005 with a self-released EP, ‘Valves & Robots’ which caught the attention of the powers that be over at Transgressive Records who pressed up their first official single, ‘Walk With Me’.

But that was then and this is now, so they’re on to bigger and better things. Their debut full length album, ‘Control’ is due out on July 30th on major label, Columbia (pre-order it on Amazon).

The album is building hype! The video you see above for, ‘Passchendaele’ is their second single and video from the new album (although, the song itself is old, appearing first on their ‘Valves & Robots’ EP. But now given new live in the majors!).

You can see the video for the first single, ‘The Illness’ on YouTube. There’s also videos for their most popular, ‘Leni’ (See it on YouTube) and their earlier single ‘Walk with Me’. Interestingly, all of these tracks will appear on the debut album, ‘Control’!

MP3: GoodBooks - Passchendaele

Here’s a couple fantastic dancey remixes that will not be on the debut record. One by Kissy Sell Out and another by recently mentioned favorites, The Teenagers, and yet another great one by Eliot James (the ‘Caucasian Dub Disco Mix’) that hasn’t been getting enough love, and probably should:

MP3: GoodBooks - Leni (Kissy Sell Out Remix)

MP3: GoodBooks - The Illness (Teenagers Remix)

MP3: GoodBooks - Leni (Caucasian Dub Disco Mix)

Of course, there is the other MT favorite, Crystal Castles remix of ‘Leni’ that you can get in our GoodBooks archive.

Visit them GoodBooks boys at their official site to get the full media experience and buy merch, including CDs, vinyl singles, and even T-shirts and other branded goods. If you just wanna say “what up” and stream more trax get at teh MySpace.

The Teenagers - “Selflove”, “Tiger” & “Make It Happen”

The Teenagers—we are always professing our love! The group is prepping for their debut album on Merok which is set to include all your favorites like, ‘Homecoming’, ‘Fuck Nicole’, ‘Starlett Johannson’ as well as some recent tracks that haven’t shown themselves on the blogs yet (until now!).

I’ve heard a handful, and of all the tracks rumored to make upcoming album, below are the bestest! Enjoy this Teenz ode to one of our very favorite past-times, on a track titled ‘Selflove’:

MP3: The Teenagers - Selflove (Demo)

‘Make It Happen’, another new one shares it’s title with the phrase I use almost everyday—Words to live by delivered in the in the super-sweet gospel of electro-pop:

MP3:The Teenagers - Make It Happen (Demo)

Removed by request

Yet another track simply titled, ‘Tiger’ that is sounds exactly like what a tiger would listen to if tigers had ears and iPods and needed music to get hype before killing stuff:

MP3: The Teenagers - Tiger (Demo)

Now, while we have your attention, The Teenz just did a brand-new remix for The Enemy’s ‘Had Enough’ (96kbps):

MP3: The Enemy - Had Enough (The Teenagers Remix)

You may stream the original version of ‘Had Enough’ from The Enemy’s MySpace and purchase a high-quality version of the remix heard above through iTunes.

Hear more in our vast Teenagers archive, or by visiting MySpace page, and Remix only MySpace page. …And don’t forget to check their tour dates throughout Europe (The Enemy is on tour too, mind you).

Postscript: Dorian, of The Teenagers, reminded us that The Teenz tracks above are just demos and should be labeled as such.

AIR - “Mer Du Japon” remixed by The Teenagers

OMG, The Teenagers have remixed AIR. It’s like when two really hot people go half on a kid:

MP3: AIR - Mer Du Japon (Teenz Remix) (2007)

It’s only a lowly 96kbps version, so, if you love it, you’re gonna wanna buy it from AIR’s website, Pocket-Symphony.com when it’s released.

While we’re on The Teenz, here are more favorites! Frankie Lymon ain’t got nothing on this:

MP3: The Teenagers - Sleeping Bag (Yo Version) (2005)

MP3: The Teenagers - Homecoming (2006)

The Teenagers’ Homecoming was perhaps the most remixed song of the late. Around a dozen remixes exist and here is one of the best. The Teenz get the the SLUTTT treatment:

MP3: The Teenagers - Homecoming (SLUTTT 98% Done Remix) (2006)

Oh, and don’t forget to check out the video for Homecoming, directed by Kinga Burza, who more recently directed a video for Kate Nash—another artist worth checking out and someone you will here more about here on Missingtoof in the near future. But, if you want to be in the know right now, Good Weather for Airstrikes did an exceptionally good profile on her yesterday. In GWFAS’s profile on Nash, there is a Teenz connection and a little rumor that, “apparently [Scarlett] Johansson has agreed to provide the female vocal on a track called ‘Homecoming 2′”. We all hope it’s true! The Teenagers / Scarlett Johansson link is, of course, The Teenagers track ‘Starlett Johansson’ from earlier this year. You can give ‘Starlett Johansson’ a listen by checking our archives for ‘The Teenagers’ tag (this post makes nine, OMG we’re obsessed).

Anywayz, more Teenz remix action!

MP3: New Simian Mobile Disco - It’s the Beat (The Teenagers Remix) (2007)

Stream and purchase more Teenz remixes at their remix only MySpace profile. There, The Teenagers currently have their mixes of tracks by Lo-Fi-Fnk, New Young Pony Club, and Au Revoir Simone, as well as the Simian Mobile Disco and AIR tracks that you can stream above.

Visit The Teenagers on their primary MySpace profile. There you can stream even more tracks, as well as purchase their first single released on Merok and their freshly produced T-shirts. Oh, and they’re on tour again, throughout Europe and MySpace has dates.

New Young Pony Club- The Bomb 12″ w/ Remixes

New Young Pony Club’s ‘The Bomb’ is a faster, more up-tempo track in the dance rock vein, as opposed to their hipster hit Ice Cream. Remix work from Phones (He can do NO WRONG!), The Teenagers, and Kaos.

I’m feeling all the remixes- Phones brings the screech and the thump, kinda like Digitalism or Surkin. The Teenagers keep it quite minimal but very solid- synthy overtones over bass, drumset beats, and cowbell. The Kaos remix keeps it close to the original, at the same time reminding me of Radio 4 or Moving Units.

MP3: New Young Pony Club - The Bomb (The Teenagers Crush LOU remix)

You can pick up your Bomb 12″ inch from Phonica Records or if you prefer your music on plastic instead of wax get yours here.

Passions

Passions is a Mathhead alias. And as you know, Mathhead is a part of the Trouble & Bass crew out of NYC along side Drop The Lime a.k.a. Curses!. ‘Emergency’ is a fat electro track featuring Star Eyes on the vocal & of course, doesn’t skimp on the bass. And Homecoming is The Teenagers powerhouse track that has been remixed by many & loved by all.

MP3: Passions - Emergency

MP3: The Teenagers - Homecoming (Passions RMX) (96 kbps)

Check out Passions’ myspace to stream other tracks. His remix of 1971 is no joke. On the reals.

Teenagers - Homecoming

The Teenagers just released their titillating new video for one of the best indie/dance tracks of 2006.

MP3: The Teenagers - Homecoming (Casanova Rave)

MP3: The Teenagers - Homecoming (Guns ‘N’ Bombs mix)

The Teenagers - Starlett Johansson

We like The Teenagers, and sometimes our teenage crush gets obsessive and we go to great lengths to be near them… Alas, The Teenagers barely notice us and probably think we’re dorks :’(

But we don’t care, our love runs deep! We recorded their new song off MySpace last night. The quality is rather poor so you’ll probably want to procure a more legit copy when The Teenagers make it available.

This Week In The Blogoshpere:

i get bored at work.

I meant to post this on Saturday but my internet connection is a little bitch. & my ISP plays more games on the phone than an eighth grade girl on summer vacation. But, it’s working right now. So, here we go.

This week in the blogoshpere:
Discobelle.net Drops Flosstradamus‘ ‘Act A Fool’ which is a mash up of Lil’ Jon & their track ‘Ravestradamus’. We’ve been on the hunt for ‘Ravestradamus’ since we heard it in Jokers of The Scene’s Holiday Mixx Mess. This is just as good.
